I agree that homosexual sex should be criminalized. We all know that homosexuality is a sensitive issue among our society. Some may find it rather disgusting to even talk about it. It brings about negative effects on our society, particularly on the younger generations.
Firstly, such acts are against the order of nature. God created humans to be of two different genders for a simple reason. Also, such acts should be criminalized in order to protect our younger generations. This is particularly important since the younger ones are going to mould the country’s future. It will be a disaster if our younger generations will to see homosexual sex as an act that is acceptable. Furthermore, if such acts are seen in public, there are higher chances that the younger ones will learn from it. They will have the perception that such acts are normal in the society, which we all know it is not right.
In addition, imagine the difficulties parents have to face in explaining the issue to their children if they happen to come across such an act in public. As a parent, we do not want our children to grow up and be someone that they are not supposed to be.
Some may say that homosexual sex should not be criminalized since people have the freedom to do what they want. I agree so but to an extent that such acts are controlled and should be done out of the public’s view. They should not have any influence on others.
In conclusion, homosexual sex should be done away from the public to protect our younger generations. Even if such an act is criminalized, we have to understand that the government cannot totally control the issue given the privacy of our homes. Homosexual sex and displaying of affection between adults of the same sexes should only be criminalized if the act was found to have offended someone.

I strongly agree with you, Izzul. The point where you stated that God created humans of two genders, I feel that there is a purpose to this. The nature of reproduction requires a man and a woman, in order to carry out the reproduction of their next generation of descendents.
ReplyDeleteThe next point where you stated the calamity that homosexual sex would bring if it becomes acceptable in the future generation. I can see that it has a big impact on our future generation, where they might see that homosexual sex is a normal act in the society and anyone and everyone is doing it. This not only breaks the chain of reproduction but it also does not bring any benefits to contribute to the society.
Homosexual sex is a topic where it is difficult for the parents to explain to their kids around the age of elementary education level. I believe the statement where you stated that every parent would not want their child to grow up to someone that they are not suppose to be is very true in every family throughout the world.
However, I do not agree that point where homosexual sex should be done away in private places. I believe to remove the incorrect act, it is to remove the roots of the problem by criminalizing the homosexual sex everywhere.

ReplyDeleteNot all species, humans included, are born either one sex or the other. We know there are hermaphrodites,and there are humans who are born different from the norm.Just because they are born different does not make them deviant or abnormal.
Biological factor aside, humans have a psychological dimension which is even more complex than our biological state. Human psychology defies simplistic categorising of one gender or the other.
Justin's point about reproduction seems to reduce human purpose on earth to simply continuing the human race. There are many people, heterosexual and homosexual, who do not believe in having children for whatever reason of their own. Can we say that their views are unacceptable? One of the most interesting things about humanity is our diversity of cultures and lifetsyles. For every person, gay or straight, who does not want to have children, there will be many others who want. So you don't need to worry about the end of the human race.
